Google is reportedly planning to release the new Nexus 9 tablet in the Indian market on November 12. This HTC-made Android tablet is currently listed on the Google Play in the country as “coming soon” but it will change on November 12 to “Available,” writes India Today.
Originally introduced this month, Google Nexus 9 is the second large-screen tablet in the Nexus line-up after the Samsung-made Nexus 10, which didn’t get many buyers despite packing a very impressive display at the time of its release.
Nexus 9, as has already been revealed on Google Play, will be sold for starting INR 28,900 in the country and is expected to be available in 16GB Wi-Fi and 32GB Wi-Fi + LTE versions. The tablet runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop and is powered by dual-core 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor. It also features a 8.9-inch 2048x1536p IPS display, 2GB of RAM, NFC, 8MP rear camera and 1.6MP front shooter.
In addition, the tablet includes dual front-facing speakers with HTC BoomSound, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and 6700 mAh battery.
The Google Nexus 9 will be available in the Indigo Black and Lunar White colour options worldwide, however India only seems to be getting the Black variant at this point. We hope to get more clarity on the same in the coming weeks.
