Advertisements

Motorola has revealed that India is the part of the 28 countries set to get the new Google Nexus 6 smartphone later this year. The company has not shared any specifics at this point but we expect the phone to reach India around December, soon after the debut in the Americas.

Originally introduced late-Wednesday, the Google Nexus 6 smartphone will be released in midnight Blue and Cloud White colour options and get 32GB and 64GB storage variants. Google has priced the phone at $649 for the 32GB variant and $699 for the 64GB version in the United States, India pricing should be around the same price-tag, most likely around INR 41,000.

To remind you, the Nexus 6 runs on the new Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is powered by 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. Among other specifications, the phone comes with 5.96-inch Quad-HD (2560x1440p) AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera with OIS, 2MP front shooter and 3220 mAh battery. The phone is also splash-resistant and support wireless charging and 4G LTE connectivity. There is no word on whether the India version will be support 4G LTE networks but as per the official specs sheet, the international variant of Nexus 6, which will arrive in India, does not include support LTE band 40 (used by Airtel for 4G LTE right now).

No other details are available at this point but as always we will bring you any new information that pops up regarding Nexus 6 India release.

fantastic phone for that price. India’s price will be under 45,000. Note 4 with same specifications is very costly. Better to buy nexus 6 64gb than note 4.

Can anyone make my comment reach google and Motorola?
In india Motorola as a company does not exist. And in case of motog I have experienced very very bad support experience due to 3rd parties doing the job for them.
If ever the nexus 6 comes to Indian play store.. Shouldn’t Google and Motorola be looking to providing an official support in india? I mean if xiaomi can do why can’t moto/Google. Until then I think there would be few Indians who would be keeping an eye on this nexus.
