Alleged Google Nexus 9 image appears online

An alleged Google Nexus 9 image has been published by @upleaks today, who also notes that the tablet will feature a matte-plastic back, as visible in the image, and not metal.

There is no way to check the authenticity of the image and I personally find it very dubious, so take this with a pinch of salt. Also, this HTC-built tablet is expected to be officially announced this month, so we won’t have to wait for long to get a look at the device. Also, the HTC tablet has been spotted in the FCC database recently, which is again an indication of the impending unveiling.

To remind you, as per rumours, the Nexus 9 is expected to come with Tegra K1 64-bit quad-core processor, Android L, 8.9-inch 2048x1440p display, 3GB of RAM and Wi-Fi support. There is an LTE version as well, which, according to @upleaks, will be launched in US and Japanese markets.

Among other specs, the tablet is said to be coming with 16/ 32GB of internal storage, Bluetooth, and NFC. There is no word on the pricing or the exact release date at this point but we hope to hear from HTC and Google soon.
