Set to be dubbed as Nexus 9 (no Nexus 8, 8. 9 or whatever), the tablet will be powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 quad-core processor. There is no clarity on whether 32-bit version or the 64-bit version of the processor will be used in this tablet but 64-bit version seems more likely as the upcoming Android L version adds support for the same and Google would like to show the implementation by using it in a Nexus device.
The NVIDIA website also reveals that the HTC Nexus 9 tablet will be released in Q3 of this year but Q3 ends with September, so we wouldn’t bet on it. It is more plausible to expect an official launch in October as Google has traditionally used the month to showcase new Nexus smartphones and even Android L is expected next month.
The NVIDIA document has since been removed from the company website, however it can still be accessed via Google Cache.
