Huawei has launched a new Android tablet in the Malaysian market recently. Set to go on pre-order today, the tablet has simply been dubbed as Honor tablet and carries a price-tag of 599 ringgits ($183).
The new Huawei Honor tablet features an 8-inch HD IPS display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor, Android 4.3 with Emotion UI 1.6 and 4800 mAh battery. The tablet also comes with 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 1GB of RAM. In addition, Huawei has included 3G, voice-calling support, Wi-Fi, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, and GPS on the tablet.
There is no word on the shipping date at this point.
In related news, Huawei has also released the Honor 6 smartphone in the country. The phone will go on sale beginning October 16, while the pre-orders begin today at Vmall.my.
To remind you, the smartphone packs 5-inch full HD display, 1.7GHz octa-core Hi-Silicon Kirin 920 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and microSD card slot. The phone also comes with 3100mAh battery, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
Huawei is hosting a press event in New Delhi today and we will most likely see the launch of Honor 6 in India but it is possible that Honor tablet will make an appearance as well.

This would be an ideal tablet for debut for Indian market too..provided Huawei is inclined to introduce this at Rs, 11000. But if they gets into its usual high pricing model for Indian market, this would become just another Huawei Tab Model in India, with negligible sales.
