Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone in the Indian market next month. The company’s VP for Mobile & IT Asim Warsi told The Economic Times that Galaxy Note 4 will be available before Diwali in the country. He was speaking on the sidelines of the Galaxy Alpha launch event in New Delhi on Saturday.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which went on sale in the company’s home market South Korea two days ago, is the new flagship phablet from the company. It features a 5.7-inch Quad-HD display, Exynos 5 Octa/ Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and Android 4.4.4. The device also packs a 16MP rear camera, 3.7MP front camera, 32GB of on-board storage and microSD card slot.
Samsung had earlier stated that it plans to release the Note 4 in 140 markets across the world before the end-of-October. The India launch schedule fits well in this timeline.
There is no word on the price of the smartphone but it is likely to be over INR 50,000 in the country, making it the most expensive Samsung Android smartphone in India. The company’s Galaxy S5 LTE smartphone currently holds this spot with INR 45,290 price-tag on the company’s official e-store.
The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to support the 4G LTE networks in the country and the company will most probably offer bundled 4G and 3G data plans with the phone like it announced with Galaxy Alpha yesterday.
As always, we will let you guys know as soon as we have a confirmation on the final release date of the Note 4 in the country.
