Sony to release Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact in India on Sept 25

This is going to be big week for the smartphone lovers in India. HTC and Samsung have already sent out invites for press events on September 23 and September 27 respectively, where the each firm will unveil their new Android phones for the country and now Sony has joined the mix with a press event on September 25.

The Japanese manufacturer is expected to introduce the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact smartphones for the Indian market on the day.

Originally unveiled at IFA trade fair earlier this month, Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact smartphones come with 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, water and dust resistance, high-resolution audio support, and 2.2MP front camera. Among other specifications, Xperia Z3 sports a 5.2-inch full HD display, while the Xperia Z3 Compact packs a 4.6-inch HD display.

There is no word on the pricing of the Sony smartphone but Xperia Z3 is expected to retail around INR 45-48,000 and Xperia Z3 Compact around INR 40-43,000.
