HTC’s 9-inch Nexus tablet is indeed coming: WSJ

HTC’s much rumoured 9-inch Nexus tablet, which has been a part of the leaks and rumours for over six months now, has get another confirmation from The Wall Street Journal. The news publication writes that the HTC Nexus tablet has been in works for many months now, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

“Google selected HTC over more experienced tablet makers like Samsung to make its upcoming 9-inch Nexus tablet, people familiar with the matter said. HTC engineers have been flying to the Googleplex in Mountain View in recent months to work on the project,” noted WSJ.

The WSJ report is light on actual details but as per previous rumours the HTC Nexus 9 will be featuring NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 quad-core processor and is expected to be released next month. One rumour suggests that we could see an announcement as early as October 16.

Like all new Nexus products, Nexus 9 will run on the latest version of Android, which will Android L at the time of its release.
