Celkon launches Ultra Q500 with KitKat & 2GB of RAM for INR 9,999

Indian smartphone vendor Celkon has announced the launch of a new affordable Android smartphone in the country today. Dubbed as Ultra Q500, the phone sports a 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core cortex-A7 processor.

Among other specifications, the new Celkon Ultra Q500 runs on Android 4.4 and includes 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot, and 2500 mAh battery. The smartphone also packs 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front shooter, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and dual-SIM support.

According to Celkon, it has pre-loaded a number of Gameloft games like Modern Combat 4, Spiderman Power Ultimate, Real Football 2014, Danger Dash Premium, and Asphalt 7 as well as Hungama application on the phone, which offers free download worth INR 1 lakh to the phone owners.

The Celkon Ultra Q500 has been priced at INR 9,999 and will retail exclusively at Snapdeal.com. The company has also partnered with telecom operator Airtel to offer 1GB of free data for two months to the buyers of the smartphone.
