Celkon Mobiles has announced the launch of a new Android smartphone in the Indian market today. Dubbed as Celkon Campus A15, the smartphone has been priced at INR 3,999 and will be available beginning today in all major retail stores.

Celkon Campus A15 runs on Android 4.2.2 and is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor. The phone also comes with 3.5-inch HVGA display, 3.2MP rear camera, 1400 mAh battery, dual-SIM support and 2G connectivity.

A15 also packs 256MB of RAM, 512MB of internal storage, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and MicroUSB port.

Although, most of the specifications of the phone are pretty decent, the presence of meagre 256MB RAM to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is worrisome. If only the company had provided 512MB of RAM, the phone would have been a pretty decent option for budget Android smartphone buyers.
