Microsoft introduces 4G version of Nokia XL in China

Advertisements

As it puts an end to the future development of Nokia X line-up, Microsoft has released a 4G enabled variant of the Nokia XL smartphone in the Chinese market.  In addition to the added LTE support, the phone also packs select improved specifications.

As per the Nokia China website, the 4G Nokia XL comes with 5-inch WVGA display, 1GB of RAM (instead of 768MB in 3G version), 4GB of internal storage and 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 processor (instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor in 3G version).

The phone also comes with 2000 mAh battery, 5MP rear camera, microSD card slot, dual-SIM support, and Android 4.1 based Nokia X software platform.

There is no word on the pricing or availability but we don’t see pricing to be much given the average specifications. Microsoft has also not revealed whether it plans to bring XL 4G version to other countries but it seems unlikely.
