Panasonic will soon be joining other smartphones makers in India by introducing its first Android 4.4-powered smartphone. It is clearly late to party but at least it decided to move beyond Jelly Bean.

The upcoming smartphone will be dubbed as T41 and carry entry-level specifications, revealed Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom, who also notes that the phone will be priced at INR 7,900.

Coming to the specifications, the phone is expected to come with a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. T41 will also come with 5MP rear camera, 1650 mAh battery, front camera and dual-SIM support.

There is no word on the availability but we hope to see an official announcement soon.

In related news, Panasonic will also be introducing its Eluga-series of high-end smartphones in the country. The first Eluga phone is expected to be unveiled soon but the details about the phone are unclear at this moment.
