Google Play Movies go live in 21 new countries

Just a day after opening up its Google Play Books store to a dozen new countries, Google has now expanded the availability of Play Movies to 21 new markets including several European countries.

Here is the full list of countries getting Google Play Movies access: Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

With the latest round of expansion, Google Play Movies are now available in a total of 92 countries. This is quite a big leap for Google but the company still lags behind Apple in terms of content availability, Movies access in iTunes is currently available to users in around 102 countries.

To remind you, Android users can buy or rent movies from Play store device client and play them using the Google Play Movies & TV app.
