Celkon Campus A35K is India’s cheapest Android 4.4 smartphone

Smartphones are getting cheaper every day. Just a few hours ago, we reported about Karbonn A50S, which costs just INR 2,799 and now we have a similarly priced Android smartphone from Celkon. The company has released the Android 4.4-powered Campus A35K smartphone in the Indian market. Priced at INR 2,999, it is the country’s cheapest KitKat phone.

According to Celkon, the smartphone features a 3.5-inch qHD display, 1GHz processor, Android 4.4.2 and 1400 mAh battery. It also packs 256MB of RAM, 512MB of on-board storage, microSD card slot and 3G support. In addition, Campus A35K comes with 3.2MP rear camera and VGA front camera.

The smartphone will be exclusivily released on Snapdeal.com in Blue and White colour options. At the time of wiriting this report, the phone was sold-out at the e-retailer but we expect newer stocks soon.

Overall the specifications of Celkon Campus A35K are quite decent apart from the 256MB of RAM but we will have to see the real-life performance of the smartphone to give a verdict.
