LG Optimus L9 II

G Pro Lite to get Android 4.4 in Q2-end

LG’s Italian arm has announced on its official Facebook page that mid-range smartphone Optimus L9 II will receive the KitKat update in the coming weeks. The phone will be followed by LG G Pro Lite, which will be receiving the Android 4.4 update in Q2-end and Optimus G in Q3.

Detailed change-log is unavailable but the update is expected to include the usual KitKat goodies like immersive mode, performance enhancements, cloud-print support, UI improvements, improved downloads app as well as LG-specific changes like Knock Code.

The update will be released both over-the-air and via LG update tool. As soon as we hear about the update roll-out, we will let you know.

To remind you, both LG G Pro Lite and Optimus L9 II was launched last year with Android 4.1.2 on-board and will be skipping the Android 4.2 and 4.3 update in order to directly get Android 4.4.
