HP Slate 6 VoiceTab gets a price-cut in India, now retailing for INR 16,599

In just over three months of introducing the Slate 6 VoiceTab in the Indian market, HP has reduced the pricing of this phablet in the country. The device, which was originally launched for INR 22,990 in February this year, can now be grabbed for as low as INR 16,599 from various e-retailers including Snapdeal and Amazon.

HP Slate 7 VoiceTab has also seen a slight price-correction but not a major one. It was released for INR 16,999 and is now retailing for around INR 15,300.

To remind you, HP Slate 6 VoiceTab features a 6-inch HD display, 1.2GHz Marvell PXA1088 quad-core processor, Android 4.2.2 and 1GB of RAM. The device also packs 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, dual-SIM support, 3G and 3000 mAh battery. Slate 7 VoiceTab also comes with similar specifications but with 7-inch HD display and 4100 mAh battery.

The new prices are far more decent than the original pricing of these devices and will probably help the company gain some traction in the market.
