Samsung Galaxy S5Samsung has announced that it has started selling the Copper Gold colour variant of the Galaxy S5 smartphone in the Indian market. According to the company, the new colour variant can be grabbed from Samsung retail and e-stores beginning today.

“The Galaxy S5 is a testament of people-inspired innovation from Samsung. Gold has a huge appeal among Indian consumers as it lends a niche and premium feel to the product. The various shades of gold are associated with luxury and make for an excellent aspirational buy. This specially crafted Galaxy S5 in Copper Gold variant is aimed at consumers seeking seamless integration of stunning classic design and exceptional functionality to make their lives more efficient,” said Vineet Taneja, Country Head, IT & Mobile Division at Samsung India.

Originally introduced last month, Samsung Galaxy S5 was until available in White and Charcoal Black colour options in the country. The phone officially retails for INR 51,499, however you can grab it for as low as INR 44-45K at various e-retailers and brick and mortar stores.

To remind you, Samsung Galaxy S5 packs 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, Exynos 5 Octa processor, Android 4.4 and 16MP rear camera.

Samsung India has also reiterated the various offers available to Samsung Galaxy S5 buyers in the country. Here is quick recap of these offers:

  • With every purchase of Galaxy S5 till May 31, 2014; the customer will get a gift coupon worth INR 5000 via SMS, which is redeemable at Samsung India e-store. With this offer, the customer can go to the e-store and can get an additional value worth Rs.5000 on purchase from accessories, wearables, mobiles and tablets through the coupon. The coupon is valid till 15th June or till stocks last.
  • With Samsung Galaxy S5, customers will also get access to free premium and exclusive applications worth Rs. 34000. Customers can access these applications from Galaxy Gifts widget on their Samsung Galaxy S5 or through Samsung apps.
  • Samsung is also giving its customers a chance to upgrade to Galaxy S5 on exchange of any working smartphone and avail a minimum rebate of INR 7500. This offer is valid for a limited period.
