After releasing the only Galaxy Tab with Super AMOLED display in 2011, Samsung is finally getting ready to put the display technology in tablets. According to a report in Sammobile, the company is planning to bring its new Galaxy Tab S tablet line-up, which will use the Super AMOLED displays.
The Galaxy Tab S series will have two tablets – 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch and both will come with WQXGA 2560x1600p display resolution. To be released in W-Fi and LTE variants, the Tab S tablet will feature octa-core Exynos 5 (5420) SoC (with Intel LTE modem in LTE variants), 3GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera.
The tablet will also pack IR blaster, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0 port and fingerprint scanner like Galaxy S5. Samsung Galaxy Tab S will run on Android 4.4.2 and will included Samsung’s Touchwiz/ Magazine UX customisations.
There is no word on the exact release date or pricing right now but we hope to hear more in the coming weeks.
