Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) tablet. The update is currently live in Columbia for the Wi-Fi version (SM-P600) of the tablet and is expected to reach other markets over the coming weeks.

Available over-the-air and via Samsung Kies application, the update brings the usual KitKat specific goodies like translucent status bar icons, performance enhancements, immersive mode, user-interface improvements and more.

As always, the update is rolling out in phases, so not everyone will get it right-away. To manually check for the update, go to Settings » General » About phone » Software updates.

Samsung Galaxy S5 selling faster than Galaxy S4: Samsung

In other Samsung news, Samsung SVP Yoon Han-kil has told Reuters that the recently launched Galaxy S5 smartphone is selling better than Galaxy S4, the company’s last flagship model. Earlier, it was reported that Galaxy S5 saw strong launch day sales and seems like the momentum is going on but in the absence of any numbers, we can’t be too certain.

“(The S5) is selling faster than the S4 so far, though it’s difficult to share specific numbers as we’re still at early stages,” Yoon Han-kil told Reuters in an interview.
