“The refined design and technological innovation of our new Galaxy S5 and Samsung Gear devices are the direct result of Samsung listening carefully to what consumers wanted in the next generation of mobile technology. We carefully crafted each device to offer a sophisticated, superior mobile experience that lets consumers stay connected in their own way to focus on what really matters to them.” said JK Shin, CEO & President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung.
Reviews have been positive for the smartphone but it is said to be lacking the “wow” factor as it is merely an upgrade of the last year’s model. The specifications are surely high-end but there is no real innovation.
Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 801/ Exynos 5 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16MP rear camera and 16GB of internal storage. The phone also includes water/ dust resistance, fingerprint scanner, and heart-rate sensor. It runs on Android 4.4.2 and includes the company’s Touchwiz customisations.
