Remember the rumoured 6.3-inch Motorola Xplay, which was first reported back in October last year, well the phone seems to be back in rumours. According to Weibo user Houdabao, Motorola will release a 6-inch smartphone in Q3 this year. While Houdabao hasn’t specified if this upcoming Motorola phone is indeed the previously rumoured Xplay but it could very well be.

No details are available at this point but this will be the first phablet device from Motorola till date. It has released a 5-inch phone – Droid Ultra but 5-inch is increasingly becoming a common size for smartphones and the size is no longer being associated with phablets.

As per previous rumours, Motorola is also working on a successor to Droid Ultra, which should also be arriving around the Q3. It is codenamed Quantum. Motorola is also working on a successor to Moto X, its flagship smartphone from last year.
