“We already have 4.4 updates in the works for both Mini and Max devices and you can track the progress on our software updates page. You should see this land as early as March for the Max and April for Mini,” HTC USA Product Team noted on Reddit.
While this statement is only valid for North American users, other regions should get update before that or around the same time as we have seen with HTC One update.
HTC to partner Google for Nexus 10 successor: Report
While we have heard some rumours on how HTC might be releasing a Nexus tablet this year, there haven’t been a clarity of the screen size. Now, a report from Digitimes suggests that the company might launch the next Nexus 10 tablet.
Considering Google skipped Nexus 10 successor last year, we are little sceptical about it. We still believe that if HTC does make a Nexus tablet, it will probably be of 7-inch (or 8-inch, the screen-size Nexus 7 (2013) successor is said to be having). 10-inch Android tablets haven’t seen the kind of reception that Google or any other Android manufacturer would have hoped, the 7-inch models are still selling, so it makes sense to for the latter.
