Twitter has released an update for its official Android app, which brings simple image editing support and recommended tweets/ trends on home timeline.

According to a blog post from the company, Twitter for Android users can now crop their images by selecting an aspect – square or wide or rotate an image before they share it. The app will also remind users to add any mentions so their friend don’t miss that photo.

In addition, Twitter app will also show recommended tweets, trending topics and suggestions for new accounts to follow on users’ home timeline when there are no new tweets to load.

These features have been present in beta version for some time but are just reaching the stable version. You can grab the updated version from Google Play or update the existing app on your Android device by going to Play Store client.
