Amazon India has announced that it is offering the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 16GB tablet for just INR 15,000 as a part of a promotion offer. The tablet is normally sold for INR 17,999 but you can save INR 2,999 today and tomorrow.

To remind you, Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 tablet comes with an 8.9-inch 1920x1200p IPS display, 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4470 processor, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. The tablet also features Android 4.0.3 based Fire OS (update available), and front camera.

Despite being a quite old tablet, Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is still a decent option for this pricing as there are not many great tablets available over 8-inches at an affordable price-tag.

The 32GB version of Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is still being sold at the old price of INR 21,999.
