Samsung launches Galaxy J in Taiwan for $740

As expected, Samsung today launched its Galaxy J smartphone in the Taiwanese market. It is the second market ever to get this smartphone, Galaxy J was earlier launched in Japan.

Samsung Galaxy J features 5-inch 1080p full HD display, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and Android 4.3. The phone also comes with LTE Cat 4 support, 2600 mAh battery, 13MP rear camera, and front camera.

Galaxy J will be available in White and Red colour options when it goes on sale in the country. The phone has been priced at NT$21,900 (USD 740) without contract. The company is offering a Galaxy Gear for free to the first 150 buyers and there are some other promotions too for the early birds.

There is no word on launch elsewhere but we won’t be surprised if Samsung decided to release it in other markets as Galaxy S5 launch is still far and it wouldn’t hurt to have another flagship class smartphone in the market.
