Micromax releases Android 4.2-powered A116i for INR 12,090

Micromax has released a variant of its A116 Canvas HD in the form of Micromax A116i, which comes pre-installed with Android 4.2 unlike A116 (runs on Android 4.1). Rest of the specifications of A116i are same as A116 Canvas HD.

As Micromax has already released Android 4.2 update for A116, so we are not sure why the company has decided to launch A116i instead of just releasing Android 4.2-powered new stock of A116.

Micromax A116i started to appear at mobile phone retailers this weekend and is also available at online stores like eBay.in and Maniac Store for a price-tag varying between INR 12,090 and INR 13,500. We are hoping to see an official announcement and broader availability this week.
