Samsung seems to be preparing the launch of a new budget phablet like the company’s popular Galaxy Grand.

A Samsung smartphone with model number SM-G7106 appeared on China’s TENAA database recently and packs a 5.25-inch 720p HD display and 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

Other specifications of this phone include 8MP rear camera, Android 4.3, 1.5GB of RAM, and 2MP front camera. The TENAA listing doesn’t reveal any other specifications but a supposed variant of this smartphone SM-G7105 has been spotted in Bluetooth SIG website, which reveals that the device will come with Bluetooth 4.0.

From the looks of these specifications, the phone is clearly a budget phablet, which will most probably succeed Galaxy Grand. Some other variants of the smartphone with model numbers SM-G7102 and SM-G710S have also been seen in the wild but not many details are available at this point.

In related news, a report from BGR.in notes that Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Grand successor next month in India, so we will get the official details very soon.
