As you would recall, Sony recently announced the initial list of Android devices that will be getting the KitKat update and a few key Android devices from the company were missing from the list. Now, thanks to Sony support website, we know that Sony Xperia SP will be getting the Android 4.4 update and the company is investigating whether it should release KitKat update for Xperia T, TX, V, and ZR.
Sony is yet to officially reveal the KitKat plans for these devices but the company’s support website is a pretty good indication. It is also highly that Sony will be releasing Android 4.4 for Xperia ZR too but we will have to wait for the official announcement for the fate of Xperia T, TX, and V.
To remind you, Xperia Z, ZL, Tablet Z, Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 and already confirmed to get the update. There is still no word on when the update roll-outs will begin but we are keeping an eye out and will let you guys know of any new developments.
