Moto GCanada today became the first market in North America to see the launch of Moto G. The phone is now exclusively available on telecom operators Telus and Koodo Mobile. It is being sold at C$200 outright or free on contract.

Moto G is probably the only smartphone with such decent specifications to be sold at this rock-bottom pricing.  To remind you, Moto G packs 4.5-inch 720p display, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8/ 16GB of storage, Android 4.3 and 5MP rear camera. The phone also comes with 1.3MP front camera, 2070 mAh battery and 3G support.

Originally announced last week, Moto G is currently available in Brazil and select European markets and will be released in more countries over the next few weeks. It will reach US in January 2014 with KitKat on-board.

Quick Note: Motorola is also releasing interchangeable back covers, flip shells and grip shell accessories with the phone.

    1. People are quoting anything between 15 to 18K. Seeing as the $349 (Rs. 21K) Nexus 5 is selling for Rs. 29K, this seems to be an accurate – albeit unfortunate – guesstimate. 😉
