Advertisements

Cyanogen Inc. has revealed on its official Google+ page that it will soon be announcing a new hardware partner. There is no word on the name of the smartphone maker, which is planning to tie-up with Cyanogen Inc., but according to Android Police, it is a new firm and we haven’t heard about it so-far.

This new partner with be joining Oppo, which as you would recall was the first smartphone maker to partner with Cyanogen Inc.

Some reports also suggest that the Cyanogen’s hardware partner could be related to Oppo VP Pete Lau’s resignation. Lau is reportedly going to start a new firm which might use CyanogenMod.

Not much information is available at this point but we hope to hear more in the coming weeks.
