With the launch of Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 5 in India today, Google has removed the original Nexus 7 from Play store. With the removal from the Indian Google Play, Nexus 7 (2012) is no longer on sale via Google Play in any country around the world. The tablet can still be purchased in the open market.

You can grab the last year’s Nexus 7 tablet for as low as INR 8,999 (16GB Wi-Fi model) on Flipkart. The 32GB model retails for INR 11,999. These prices are half of what you will pay for the new Nexus 7 tablet, so not a bad deal at all.

Here is quick recap of Nexus 7 (2012) specs: 7-inch 1280x800p display, Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 1.2MP front camera, Wi-Fi/ 3G, Android 4.1 (4.4 update already available).
