Indian smartphone vendor Karbonn is gearing up to launch its first full HD smartphone in the form of Titanium X. The company is already started teasing the phone on its official website but there is no word on when it will released in the market.

As per a promo banner on the company’s official website, Karbonn Titanium X will come with 5-inch 1920x1080p FHD display, 13MP rear camera with auto-focus and dual-LED flash, 5MP front shooter, and 1.5GHz quad-core processor. The phone will also pack NFC support, 2300 mAh battery and Android 4.2. It is most probably the first smartphone from an Indian smartphone vendor to come with NFC support, it will be interesting to see if Karbonn includes any services to better use the NFC hardware.

The pricing of the device is a mystery at this point but it will probably be under INR 20,000. The phone will be competing with the likes of Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 and Gionee Elife E6 in the country.

Why in India, we lack innovation (in the mobile sector)? Same old features only the name is different. There are hell a lot of phones with similar spec in the market. Why do you want to fight with other companies and reinvent the wheel in the name of giving more options to customers. Infact, these companies should be more innovative atleast when they want to do a flagship device.

Worst service centers from KArbonn. My 4 month old Karbonn S5 Titanium already showing problems, in service center from 2 months, still awaiting the return.
