Samsung Galaxy S4 getting Android 4.3 update on Sprint

As leaked in a recent document, Samsung Galaxy S4 has started getting Android 4.3 update on telecom operator Sprint too. The update went live later Wednesday and is now available over-the-air.

537 MB in size, the update brings Galaxy Gear support, Knox compatibility, Android 4.3 and other improvements to the device. A detailed change-log is not available at this point.

This update follows the recently released Android 4.3 update for Verizon variant of Galaxy S4.

Sprint announces first ‘Spark’ tri-band LTE phones: LG G2, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy Mega 6.3

In related news, Sprint has unveiled the first devices, which will support its Spark tri-band LTE network. These devices are LG G2, Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Mega.

  • LG G2 (available November for $199.99 with a new agreement): It will get an update to enable support for Sprint Spark in early 2014.
  • Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 (available November 8 for $199.99 with a new agreement): It will get an update to enable Sprint Spark network shortly after launch.
  • Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini (available November 8 for $249.99 with a new agreement):  It will also get an update shortly after launch to enable Spark support.
