HTC Butterfly II incoming, to pack Snapdragon 800 with 5.2-inch display

If reports from China are to be believed, HTC is readying a real successor to its Butterfly aka Droid DNA smartphone (Butterfly s was more of an upgrade). To be known as HTC Butterfly II, the smartphone will be released early-next year, reports ePrice.

According to ePrice sources, HTC Butterfly II will launch around Taiwan’s Lunar New Year, which is in the end of January 2014. In terms of the specifications, the phone is expected to come with 5.2-inch display probably full HD, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, and water/ dust resistance.

There is no word on camera, storage, RAM or appearance of the device.  As far as the availability is concerned, it will most likely be released only in Asian markets unless HTC decides to go for a Droid DNA II.

There is very little information available right now but considering the leaks we have seen for the last some HTC devices, more information about Butterfly II would be hitting the web soon enough.

This conflicts with previous rumours that HTC would merge the Butterfly and One lines together, although there was another report where the Butterfly s and II were said to be different devices.

Butterfly s might be the last high-end HTC device with Beats Audio and 3 buttons, so be happy.
