LG Nexus 5 revealed in regulatory filing

LG’s alleged Nexus 4 successor has appeared on FCC once again but this time with some images. The back panel of this device matches with the Nexus smartphone spotted in the Kitkat statue unveiling video, suggesting that we could indeed be looking at Nexus 5.

Thanks to the FCC images, we now know that Nexus 5 will come with 2300 mAh battery, in addition to the previously revealed 5-inch (4.96-inch to be precise) display, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, NFC, GSM / EDGE, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band 802.11 b/g/n/ac, wireless charging, and 7-band LTE connectivity options.

As you can see, there is this weird looking window on the top of the phone, which could be anything. As these are certainly not the retail unit images, no point reading too much into it.

To remind you, the next Nexus smartphone is expected to be announced next month along with Android 4.4 and would probably be joined by Asus-made Nexus 10 successor.
