Motorola is reportedly planning to reduce the price of Moto X smartphone before the end of this year in United States. According to prolific leaker evleaks, Moto X will sell for $99.99 with the two year contract after this reduction in the price-tag. While, it is not surprising, it would be interesting to see the timing of this price-cut.

Motorola will most probably want to time it around holiday shopping season, expecting to see a boost in the sales as the current hype would have died down by them.
Evleaks also notes that this price-cut will be accompanied by the wooden back panel availability, which will cost $50 extra over the contract or no-contract pricing. While, there is no confirmation but it is quite possible that AT&T exclusivity on the customised version of Moto X would have ended by then and customers of all telecom operators will have access to Moto Maker customisations.
If you haven’t already purchased Moto X and want to go for this smartphone, I would suggest you to wait for this price-cut. The price-cut announcement is expected to include more goodies including the end of AT&T exclusivity on Moto Maker as speculated earlier in the post.
In related news, telecom operator Rogers has already reduced the price-tag of Moto X in Canada and is now selling the smartphone for $149.99 with the two-year contract. This is actually the second price-cut for Moto X on Rogers, the telco had earlier reduced the price to $169.99 with contract from the launch price of $189.99.

“Moto X for $99.99 with the two year.”
What IF it is released in India? Will it be available for $99.99?
