Samsung Galaxy Gear rumoured to offer just 10 hours of battery life

With Samsung Galaxy Gear announcement just a few days away, the latest report brings a not-so-good news. According to Among Tech, which claims to have learnt Galaxy Gear details from its source in Samsung’s Texas warehouse, the upcoming Samsung smartwatch will offer just 10 hours of battery life. Is it enough? Not really.

There is no way to authenticate these claims but if this turns out be real; I don’t think anyone is going to be happy. It is a watch and nobody would want to keep charging it two-three times a day.

Among other details, the report mentions that Galaxy Gear will be sold in 8GB and 6GB variants. It will also pack a 4MP front camera and 2.5-inch 320x320p resolution display.  Among Tech also notes that the clock speed of the dual-core CPU present in this smartwatch is going to 1.5GHz. Rest of the specifications are same as we had heard earlier from GigaOM and other sources – Jelly Bean, 1GB of RAM, speakers in the strap, Accelerometer and Bluetooth 4.0 LE.

What are your thoughts on these specifications? Do let us know in comments.

I think this is the reason why Apple expected to announce iwatch in late 2014. Apple do test their products for credibility
PS: Writing this comment based on above rumored article, no fanboyism
