HTC One X Android 4.2.2 + Sense 5 update rolling out in Europe

Advertisements

HTC has started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5 update for HTC One X users in parts of Europe. At this point, the update seems to be live in Nordic countries and Eastern Europe but other regions should receive the update in the coming days.

Like all major HTC updates, it is also being released over-the-air and in batches, so you will receive a notification on your HTC One X once the update is ready for your phone. You can also manually check for the update by going to Settings << About Phone << System Updates.

According to user reports on XDA Forums, the update is around 380MB in size and carries the system firmware number 4.18.401.2.

The update brings Android 4.2.2 features like lock-screen widgets, notification shade toggles along with Sense 5 customisations like Blinkfeed, video highlights and music channel. In addition, the update includes tweaks like battery level in status bar, sleep mode options in power settings and performance enhancements.

HTC One X+ is also expected to get the same update in Europe very soon.
