Codenamed Amazon Thor and Amazon Apollo

Two of the Amazon’s upcoming Kindle Fire tablets have been spotted on benchmarking site GFXBench today, in turn revealing some key specifications of the devices. These listings confirm what was recently reported by BGR.

As per the benchmark listing of Amazon Thor (codename for 7-inch tablet) and Apollo (codename for 8.9-inch tablet), the tablet will be packing the 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor along with Adreno 330 GPU.  These listings also confirm that both tablets will be running on Android 4.2.2 (with Amazon’s UI).

This is not all, the benchmark listing of Amazon Thor notes that the tablet will feature 1920x1200p display resolution, while Amazon Apollo will come with 2560x1600p resolution display. Same was reported by BGR in its report.

The latest leak clears up any doubts about the specifications of upcoming Amazon Kindle Fire tablets, which are expected to be announced sometime next month.
