We often hear about the total Android device activation numbers but it is not always that Google shares the Android tablet activation details. While, Google is still struggling to crack the tablet market, it claims that over 70 million Android tablets have been activated till now.
This number is still very small compared to iPad sales but with each passing day, Google is getting closer to making Android tablet domination a reality.
In addition to tablet figures, Google has also shared that there are now over 1 million applications in Google Play Store. This is big milestone for Google, as Apple is yet to reach the same number in Appstore. According to data shared by Apple in its quarterly earning call, there are still 900,000 apps in Appstore.
Apart from this, Google’s SVP for Chrome, Android and app Sundar Pichai also noted that per user revenue has grown 2.5 times in the last one year.
