Google is holding a press event to announce Android 4.3 and the new Nexus 7 tablet today in San Fransisco. In addition, Google is expected to reveal something called Chromecast at this event.
While, we have seen many leaks talking about Android 4.3, the exact nature of improvements present in this new version of Android over previous versions is unclear at this moment. The new Nexus 7 tablet has already been leaked in detail, it even went on pre-order a few hours ago at some US retailers, which confirmed pretty much everything that we had heard or seen until now.
There is however nothing concrete on Chromecast, some reports indicate it to be a cable add-on service, while others dubs it as a device, which will help in streaming video or audio content from Android devices.
Considering the event is set to begin in just a little while from now, we will soon everything directly from Google’s Sundar Pichai, who is currently the head of Android, Chrome and Google Apps units.
