NVIDIA has announced that it will start the shipments of its portable gaming console Shield on July 31. Originally slated to begin shipping on June 27, the device was delayed following the discovery of a mechanical issue.

The company today revealed in a newsletter on its official website that it has fixed all the issues with Shield console and pre-ordered device shipments will start next Wednesday.

“We want to thank you for your patience and for sticking with us through the shipment delay of your SHIELD. We have great news to share with you – your SHIELD will ship on July 31st,” the company noted.

To remind you, NVIDIA Shield costs $299 (after the last month’s pre-release price-cut). It comes with Tegra 4 processor at the core, micro SD card slot, HDMI out, USB port, and a 5-inch 1280x720p display along with dual control sticks, a D-pad, and multiple action buttons.
