Nexus 7 II to be available beginning July 31: Report

Google might be officially announcing Nexus 7 II on July 24 but it looks like the retailers will only begin selling the tablet starting July 31.

As per a leaked internal document from retailer Staples, this US-based retailer will get the Nexus 7 II stock on July 24 itself the tablet will be under lock and key until July 31.

The current leak does not say anything about Nexus 7 II sales from Google Play. It is possible that Google will begin Nexus 7 II pre-orders immediately after the July 24 announcement and shipments starting July 31. The company could also begin sales immediately and give Google Play some head-start over the brick & mortar stores.

We won’t know anything for certain until the official announcement. To remind you, Android 4.3 and Nexus 7 II are expected to be unveiled on July 24 at a press event in San Francisco.

As per the leaked specifications, Nexus 7 II packs a 7-inch 1080p FHD display, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.3, wireless charging, SlimPort, 5MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera.
