S Mobility ties up with Coolpad, launches Spice Coolpad Mi-515 for INR 9,990

S Mobility has announced that it has partnered with Chinese manufacturer Coolpad to bring its Android devices in the Indian market under Spice Coolpad brand. First phone of this partnership, Spice Coolpad Mi-515 launches today and will be available across India for INR 9,990.

The company’s first quad-core smartphone under INR 10K price-tag, Mi-515 features 5-inch IPS qHD display and 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The phone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and packs dual-SIM (3G+2G) support, 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

“With this new product, Spice has broken the price barrier and has made Quad Core smartphones affordable for the consumer wanting superlative internet access on the move. It is an affirmation of our belief in constantly re-inventing and creating new benchmarks in the industry.  We will be launching many more exciting products under the Spice Coolpad brand. We are confident that with our huge distribution network and own Spice Hotspot stores – the brand will achieve substantial market share in smartphone category with innovative products,” said Dilip Modi, COO & Co-Founder, Spice Group.

According to a press release issued by the company, Spice Coolpad Mi-515 smartphone and its variants have already been sold in excess of 1 million units globally.
