HTC Russia head Kormiltsev Andrey has tweeted that HTC will start rolling out Android 4.2.2 update for HTC One smartphone by mid-June. The update will be available over-the-air, he added.

HTC One, which currently runs on Android 4.1.2, will be getting host of new features as we reported just this morning. The update is expected to bring new home button options, app drawer changes as well as ability to show battery percentage icon in the status bar.

As the update schedule is coming straight from HTC Russia head, it is pretty much certain that we will see the update around June 15.

Andrey also mentioned in another tweet that HTC One X and One X+ software update with Sense 5.0 is still in development and there is no word on the exact release date. Looks like One X/ X+ users will have to wait for some time.

In related news, HTC One dual-SIM version, which also packs microSD card slot, is soon going to be available outside China. The smartphone today went on pre-order in Russia for RUB 29,990, which is same at which the single SIM version price was priced at launch in March.
