Lava has silently launched the upgraded version of its E-Tab XTRON tablet in the form of XTRON+ today. The new tablet includes Android 4.2 and 3700 mAh battery instead of Android 4.1 and 3500 mAh battery present in its predecessor.

Other specifications of XTRON and XTRON+ are exactly the same, and it seems Lava has discontinued the E-Tab XTRON tablet.

“After the huge success of XTRON its improved and better version is here. XTRON was a near perfect product however there was some scope of improvement. LAVA being a truly consumer centric company has incorporated the consumer feedback and further improved XTRON as XTRON+,” said Lava.

Lava E-Tab XTRON+ tablet packs 7-inch display with 1024x600p resolution, 1.5GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor, 1GB of RAM and 2MP rear camera. The tablet also comes with 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, HDMI out and Wi-Fi connectivity.

There is no 3G support or Bluetooth in the tablet.

According to Lava, XTRON+ comes pre-bundled with select Edukart content and owners get a discount of 20% on more Edukart courses. The tablet also features free Vedic math course.

The tablet has been priced at INR 6,990 and is now available online at Flipkart.
