Samsung Galaxy Note II getting XXDMC3 update in India

Advertisements

Samsung is rolling out a new software update for Galaxy Note II users in India. The Update is now available over-the-air (OTA); you can also try updating via the Kies application on your PC or Mac.

The new update mainly brings stability improvements as well a fix for lock-screen bypass bug that was reported for the smartphone some days ago. The update size is around 50MB and you will get a notification on your Galaxy Note 2 to update the device.

As most software updates are released in batches, not everyone gets them right-away and it can take a few days to reach everyone. You can however check for the update manually by going to Settings << About Phone << Software Update << Update.

  • Software update build number: XXDMC3

If you have already installed the update, do let us know about anything new that you would have noticed in it.

My Samsung Galaxy S3 also got update in the first week of April, 2013. I updated OTA and it was approx 45MB update. I feel strange that i didn’t found anything about this update on any website. I even don’t know what this update meant? If anybody have idea, please share.

hi Pritesh This update is mainly for lock screen fix. Search Galaxy S3/Note 2 lock screen flaw in Youtube. Then You will know what it is.

I have already recieved this update on my galaxy s3. the update size is 45.91 MB.
Only Baseband and Kernel version as well as build version changed. Usage grately improved.

I found that S pen detached notification if fixed. It was not notifying when i used to leave my S pen out and walk with phone. but with latest update it works…
