CyanogenMOD team is on a roll right now. Within days of releasing the second CM 10.1 M-series build and expanding official support to LG Optimus G along with a bunch of Sony smartphones, the team has added support for LG Optimus 4X HD.

LG Optimus 4X HD was the LG-flagship smartphone for the first half of 2012, competing with the likes of HTC One X. The first Android 4.2-based nightly builds for the smartphone have already been posted on CM servers and can be downloaded now.

If you don’t want nightlies, the smartphone will most probably be included in the next M-series build. To install CM10.1 for your Optimus 4X HD, you will need a custom recovery for the smartphone; you can check out instructions and downloads at the XDA forums.

Here is a list of other smartphones that were recently got the official CM support:

  • Sony Xperia ZL
  • Sony Xperia Z
  • Sony Xperia V
  • Sony Xperia T
  • Sony Xperia TX
