HTC to launch Desire P, Q smartphones soon; details spotted online

HTC is planning to introduce two new Android smartphones Desire P and Desire Q in the coming weeks. The specifications and images of both the phones were spotted online. Expected to be part of company’s mid-range portfolio, Desire P and Q will join HTC E1 that was launched in China recently.

The HTC Desire P, which looks a lot like company’s Desire SV model, features 4.3 inch display with 800x480p resolution, 8MP rear camera, front camera, 1GHz dual-core processor, Beats Audio and MicroSD card support.

The phone will be sold in in red and white colour options, and become available via China Mobile for $365 (approx..).

On the other hand, Desire Q packs a 4-inch display, and Beats Audio. Other specifications of the phone are unclear right now, but it will be available in Black, White and Red colour options. Desire Q is expected to be priced at $235 and go on sale in the HTC’s home-country Taiwan first via telecom operator FarEasTone.

There is no word on global availability of both these phones.

Update: New details emerging from Taiwan indicate that Desire P and Desire Q will be available in April and go on sale in Taiwan initially.
