Asus FonePad runs on Android 4.1 and comes with 3G connectivity as well as voice-calling support. The tablet is being sold at NT $8,900 ($302) for the 16GB model. Asus has also partnered with Chunghwa Telecom to sell the FonePad on contract. The telco will be subsidizing the tablet and retailing it for free with a two-year contract with monthly plans beginning NT $1,343 ($45.07).
According to Asus, the FonePad will be available at Tsann Kuen Enterprise Co, E-Life Mall Corp, Sunfair Computer Co retail stores as well as Yahoo & PChome online stores.
To remind you, Asus FonePad features a 7-inch 1280x800p display, Intel Atom Z2420 processor, 3MP rear camera, and 1.2MP front camera.
